Psychotherapist
Life today can be overwhelming. It is easy to feel anxious or discouraged, unsure of where to turn. This is just as true for children, adolescents, and teens, who often struggle with major life changes, anxiety, or depression. As parents, we feel every bit of their pain and uncertainty, especially when their emotions are difficult to define, or their behaviors are hard to understand.
Together, we will explore the underlying thoughts and feelings that might be causing distress, aiming to break the negative cycles that keep you or your child feeling stuck. I believe in the power of a collaborative approach, where we work as a team to find a way forward, and reach a place of healing and stability.
In our sessions, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where everyone feels heard, valued, and understood. Whether we meet in person or online, my goal is to make therapy a positive experience, tailored to your unique needs, utilizing tools from various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy, among others.
I believe that everyone has the potential to grow and change, no matter how overwhelming the circumstances may seem. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s journey.
I have a special interest in working with children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, adjustment issues, regulating emotions, grief, adoption/ attachment issues, parenting concerns, and medical trauma.
