Hannah Nowland, LMSW
Psychotherapist & Client Care Coordinator
Welcome—I’m glad you’re here.
As a therapist, I see myself as a guide, walking alongside you through whatever life has brought you and whatever lies ahead. You deserve to understand yourself deeply, to feel truly heard, and to move toward greater peace. I have a passion for helping people heal from trauma and experiences that have been overwhelming, painful, and difficult to make sense of. My goal is to offer a supportive, compassionate space where you can explore your story and circumstances while feeling understood and heard. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone—we’ll work together to lighten what you’re carrying.
My areas of focus include healing from trauma, grief and loss, managing anxiety and depression, coping with stress and life transitions, addressing OCD, and strengthening communication skills. Through a trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based approach, we work toward greater self-compassion and more authentic living.
In my sessions, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness-based techniques. I enjoy working with pre-teens, teenagers, college students, and adults.
In addition to traditional weekly therapy, I offer EMDR intensives for clients who want focused, extended time to reprocess traumatic experiences. These intensives allow for deeper work over a shorter timeframe and can be especially helpful when weekly sessions feel too slow, disruptive, or difficult to fit into a busy schedule.
My previous experience includes hospice care supporting individuals at the end of life and those who are grieving, walking alongside immigrants and refugees from around the world, and supporting individuals affected by domestic violence. This work has given me a breadth of experience that has prepared me to join you where you are. I believe that when we show up for ourselves, healing can take place. Exploring counseling takes courage, and I would be honored to work with you.
Hannah is under clinical supervision and direction.
